ROOTED IN HIGHAMS PARK & CHINGFORD

A warm, welcoming, vibrant Jewish community.

A thriving blend of founding families and newcomers, drawn together by a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere — and a shul that still feels like home.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE US

The little things that make a shul feel like home.

01

A warm welcome

Our Rabbi and Rebbetzin, together with the Chairman and Honorary Officers, genuinely enjoy meeting new people and making them feel at home.

02

Famous weekly Kiddushim

Shabbat morning services finish around 11.30am and flow straight into a lively social Kiddush — the place to catch up and celebrate milestones.

03

Cinema-style comfort

Our shul seats its congregants in genuine, incredibly comfortable 1930s cinema seats — charming enough that a TV production once borrowed a few.

04

A year-round calendar

Events for all ages — an annual supper quiz, Purim and Chanukah parties, games afternoons, and community fundraisers.

“Join us this Shabbat and see for yourself why we are known as the kindest, friendliest shul around.”

— THE COMMUNITY AT HP&C

YOUR SHUL

Nearly a century of community, still going strong.

Following our upgrade to full membership of the United Synagogue, we've been given our greatest opportunity in years to grow — while keeping the traditional, inclusive service our community has always been known for.
